SUMMIT POINT, W. Va. — The final Woodbridge Kart Club-hosted road race of the year is set to take place with the annual August meet at Summit Point Motorsports Park’s 2.0-mile Main Circuit.
This year’s late summer WKC event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 20-21 and for the third consecutive year it will be a shared event with Formula Car Promotions, meaning formula cars and karts will split the track time during the two days. There is no Friday practice for karts at this event.

Summit Point gates will be open for kart teams to park at approximately 4pm Friday. Sponsors will be moved in first and general race teams will be moved in shortly after. Pit pass sales are open until 10pm Friday and will reopen Saturday from 6am to 10pm.
The Summit Point gates are open 24 hours. It is the participants’ responsibility to go to pit pass sales at the entrance to the paddock to purchase wristbands, if they have entered the paddock between 10pm Friday and 6am Saturday.
At-track pit pass sales are cash only.
This is the fourth and final WKC-hosted race of the season, but it is not the end of the 2022 WKC points series.
The final WKC points race will take place Sept. 23-25 at Pittsburgh Int’l Race Complex with the Dart Kart Club-hosted Pittsburgh AKRA Nationals. While this is a Dart Kart event, like Mid-Ohio in June it does count toward the 2022 WKC championship.
The August Summit Point national marks Round 4 of the AKRA / Hoosier Kartsport National Road Race Series followed by Round 5, a Championship Enduro Series-hosted race Sept. 10-11 at Michigan’s Gingerman Raceway and the sixth and final round a couple weeks later at Pittsburgh.
